The Art of Body Paintin
     
Body Painting: To paint the naked body. To create art. The human canvas.  Some artists feel that the practice of adorning or transforming the human body, whether through body painting, tattooing, piercing or reshaping, can be traced back tens of thousands of years ago, as an expression of art. The tradition of Body Painting is a venue of human expression as old as recorded history.   Unlike tattoo and other forms of body art, body painting is temporary, painted onto the human skin, and lasts for only several hours, or at most (in the case of Mehndi or "henna tattoo") a couple of weeks.
The 1960s supermodel Veruschka is often cited as being many body painters' muse.   Her images in the book Transfigurations with photographer Holger Trulzsch have frequently been emulated.   Other well-known works include Serge Diakonoff's books A Fleur de Peau and Diakonoff and Joanne Gair's Paint a licious.
Since the early 1990s body painting has become more widely accepted in the United States, and more and more body artists are beginning to come onto the national community.  Starting in late 2006 Sacramento art galleries started to use fine art body painting as performance art to draw new patrons to its galleries and festivals and in the same year, the first gallery dedicated exclusively to fine art body painting was opened in New Orleans by World Body painting Festival Champion and Judge, Craig Tracy. Coming Down the Pike: “Misunderstandings” 
   

 


The Big Screen Adaptation of the dating landscape and it’s not a terror film.  Read on.  I think you’ll really like this one.

He loves me…he loves me not.  Sound familiar?  Well for Nicole (female lead), that sounds oh so familiar in this humorous yet refreshing take on the ins and outs of relationships, aptly titled, Misunderstandings.  This Washington, DC based story reveals the hardships of being in a serious relationship, when things go from being perfect to becoming one’s worse nightmare.  Once true feelings and emotions start to unravel, Rasan’s (male lead)  heart may be leading into a different direction than expected.Life seems to be going extremely well for beautiful entertainment publicist, Nicole, played by actress Danita Mischelle, and her highly successful beau Rasan, actor Walter Maxfield Jones, whom is an entertainment lawyer.

  Nicole seems to be floating on cloud 9, until one fateful day she walks in on Rasan in bed with another woman.  From that point on, Nicole’s life is thrown into a whirlwind, with questions and confusion clouding her brain.  Not to worry, she has her friends to help…right?
