Rumor has it that hip hop's hottest couple Jay
Z and Beyonce will reportedly be launching a world tour
later this year. Insiders to both camps say that the tour,
which is tentatively being called the Bonnie & Clyde tour,
is expected to be announced as soon as September 5 - when Jay
Z joins Beyonce for a "surprise performance" at
the Fashion Rocks concert.
As I’m sure you’ve probably heard, Californiacation star David
Duchovny announced recently that he's seeking
treatment for sexual addiction and that his wife, actress Tea
Leoni, is standing by him through the process. As
it turns out his sexual addiction is of the online sort. Apparently,
the X-Files star would spend hours on line
visiting X-rated chat rooms. Best of luck to them both. I
guess it could be worse, his addiction could be carnal sort.
There have been several UK whispers that the King of Pop, Michael
Jackson is dating Pamela Anderson. A
UK source said: "It was all arranged by their people in total
secrecy, very cloak and dagger. Michael is
such a private person. He gets nervous when he thinks people are
following him around, so he chose somewhere neutral for their first
date. "They arrived separately at the Shutters Hotel on
Malibu Beach so no one would suspect anything and then had a few
drinks in the bar." Talk about an odd couple…but if their
happy, we’re happy for them.
How’s this for a keeper? Word on the street is that R&B
singer Chris Brown bought his pop sensation girlfriend, Rihanna a
brand new Ferrari F430 Spider. According to one of Rihanna's pals, Chris took
the Bajan singer to a Los Angeles Ferrari dealer last week and asked
her which car she most wanted. Then he just bought it for her. Wow,
Chris is ballin like that????
Singer-song writer, John Mayer was recently spotted
getting quite cozy with a Latina hottie in Miami. Jennifer
Aniston's ex was spotted walking into SET a restaurant/
nightclub in South Beach hand-in-hand with beauty. On looker
say that Mayer and his gal-pal partied within the
private confines of SET's Trophy Room all night.
In a rare but classy sighting, Oprah and Stedman were
seen doing the Pledge of Allegiance at the 20th Reunion Festival
in New Jersey over the weekend. They stood comfy and close,
the prime example of “if it’s not broken, why fix it,” school
of long term dating. We absolutely love these two.
Bad News
In a sad display of politics, according to the Washington
Post, Democratic strategist, Donna Brazile was
pepper sprayed by police. While, it's not clear why this occurred,
here's how the paper is reporting it:

The well-known Democratic pundit and strategist confirmed the incident,
but declined to comment further. Protests outside the convention
center led to 56 arrests earlier in the day. Brazile is
the Chair of the Democratic National Committee's Voting
Rights Institute and was a delegate at the Democratic National Convention
in Denver.
Singer, Amy Winehouse may have brain damage after suffering
two major overdoses in the past 12 months where she binged on crystal meth, heroin
and cocaine, it emerged today. The singer also smoked pot in a 36-hour
marathon session in July where she suffered such bad convulsions, they were 'like
a scene from The Exorcist', a close friend told a UK Newspaper. Now doctors
have warned the troubled star that one more overdose will kill her. Winehouse first
overdosed in August last year from cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, ketamine and crystal
meth. She was advised to see a psychiatrist after displaying 'multiple personality
traits' that made her a suicide risk. It was following this second overdose
in July that doctors are worried her brain was damaged by the cannabis overdose
after she displayed symptoms normally associated with schizophrenia. Wow,
we’ve said this at least ten times before…Get better Amy,
we’re praying for you.
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is offering to plead guilty to
one or two felonies, leave office, pay a fine and restitution and perform community
service -- so long as he doesn't go to jail, a source close to his legal team
said Sunday. Frustrated by what they consider stubbornness by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym
Worthy in ongoing plea talks, the mayor's lawyers have offered to bring
in facilitators -- perhaps a judge or well-respected legal figure -- to review
the offer, the source said. The hope is to persuade Worthy that
the deal is "politically palatable" and similar to penalties anyone
facing similar felonies would receive, the source said. Worthy has
consistently maintained Kilpatrick must do jail time. Last week,
talks broke down when she suggested he serve four to six months as part of the
deal that would resolve eight felonies stemming from text-message scandal that
erupted in January.
Jacksonville Jaquars offensive tackle Richard Collier was
shot while waiting for some women outside an apartment early Tuesday and sustained
life-threatening injuries, according to the Associated Press. Collier,
26, and former Jaguars player Kenneth Pettway were
waiting in a car when a gunman shot into the vehicle, said Jacksonville Sheriff's
Office spokesman Ken Jefferson. Collier was shot several times
but it's not clear where he was hit, and the sheriff's office is still investigating. Collier was
in critical condition at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, a hospital official
said. We’re praying for you and your family Richard. Get well
fast.
R&B crooner and heart throb, Robin Thicke sites
a ting of reverse racism with Vibe magazine. In
a recent interview with another music mag, Robin disclosed
that “when I did a recent interview with Vibe magazine I
asked, “Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I
love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the
cover of, it’s Vibe.” Their response was they don’t
have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve
had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s
what it is, it is what it is. And I respect that because I live in
a house with a black woman.” He went on to say, “I
won’t use the word “racism.” I will say it’s
a tough — but rewarding — fight. I look at Mary
J. Blige, somebody who has had only a few pop hits and yet
has changed culture, generated new sounds and inspired leagues of artists.
She’s now a worldwide phenomenon. And it’s because of what
she stood for; she never gave up. She kept making great music pouring

284 people were
arrested at the Republican National Convention on
Monday. Those detained were part of a thousands-strong protest
outside the RNC. Reports say that not only
were several people were arrested but hordes of people were injured
in a malee just outside the Xcel Center in MN.
Apparently, there is a big shake up at NBC. According
to recent reports, Ben Silverman, the co-chairman
of NBC Entertainment and NBC Universal Television Studio
and his head of development are getting fired and the network is
already dreading their programming slate for the new season! Wow,
well at least the Olympics was a good look for the struggling network.
BabyShambles front man Pete Doherty almost
died AGAIN! Apparently, Doherty was in Austria
this weekend for a scheduled solo performance and things didn't go
quite as planned. The singer actually collapsed before he was "due
to sing solo at a porn cinema in Graz." According to reports, Doherty had
gone on a huge drug binge at the farmhouse of his promoter, Bettina
Aichbauer. Luckily, she was able to call for an ambulance,
before it was too late and Pete was revived, though
the refused hospital treatment. And as if this is a regular
occurrence (which it seems to be) the show did go on - just four
hours late due to him almost dying.
JLo and Marc Anthony may be paying
a pretty penny for their protective pooch. Lisa Wilson, a
flight attendant on a private jet that the two celebs and their
overzealous guard dog, “Floyd” were on, claims in her
lawsuit against Lopez and Anthony that
Floyd lunged at her and bit her, causing her debilitating injury. She’s
actually suing them for $5 million.
Good News
Seems R&B bad boy has good news, Bobby Brown is
planning to wed again after confirming he and manager/girlfriend Alicia
Etheredge are an item. Brown was
with Etheredge when he reportedly suffered a minor
heart attack last year in October, but it has taken him almost a
year to confirm the romance. Now he's admitting that
he’s mad about Etheredge. He says, "That
one; the relationship is gonna work 'cause I'm gonna make it work." Etheredge has
always maintained she and Brown are longtime friends and business
partners, but she hopes to be the one when Brown chooses to settle
down again. In an interview last year, she said, "I think that Bobby is
a big romantic and really does believe in love. His parents are still
married after all these years and I think that he will find that
again." The R&B rebel ended his first, 14-year marriage
with Grammy-award winning, singer Whitney Houston just
last year when the couple's divorce became final on April 24.
Rapper L.L. Cool J will be opening for Janet
Jackson on her new tour, which kicks off in two weeks, the
singer has announced. You talk about two well preserved artists
doing their thing. This one should be the bomb!
In a day where celeb babies make more money then their parent hosts, Halle Berry is
bucking the trend. Berry chose not to sell the
baby pics of her new daughter,
Nahla Ariela and instead goes out of her way to
live a relatively normal life with her new bundle. Though recently
snapped out at the Los Angeles Zoo, with baby Nahla and
her mother in tow, Halle went about their animal
visit quite leisurely and normally. You go Halle. Glad
to see that all celebrity parents aren’t pimps.
In a funny Joe Biden moment about his rival, the
Veep hopeful admits that he thinks the main thing Republican VP wannabe, Sarah
Palin has on him as a VP candidate is that she's prettier
than he is. "Well, there's obvious differences between us," said
Biden. "She's good looking." He’s not too worried
beyond that though.
As the keynote speaker at the 20th
Reunion Festival in Whitesboro, New Jersey, Oprah
Winfrey pledged $1 million to an educational scholarship
fund for the community’s youth. With boyfriend Stedman
Graham at her side, she noted how he talked about his hometown
of Whitesboro when they began dating and how he wanted the town to
be all it could be. She said he worked to get sidewalks, street lights,
a baseball field and a community center built there.
